Anne Arundel Medical Center's Psychiatric Day Hospital is an intensive daytime treatment program offering mental health services for adults and teens age 13 and older. The program is designed to help those moving from 24/7 inpatient care and those who need to stabilize a condition to prevent a lengthy hospital stay. Those enrolled attend daily sessions from 8 am until 3:30 pm and return home at night. Each person receives a tailored treatment plan and length of stay based on his or her unique needs. Whenever possible, we invite family members and support systems to take part in the treatment and healing process. TREATMENT OPTIONS INCLUDE: Activity therapy and/or occupational therapy. Family therapy and assessment. Goal setting and skills development. Group psychotherapy. Mental health and medical assessment. One-on-one therapy. Pharmacologic treatments. Psychological testing.
