LSC hosts mental illness discussion

A community conversation on mental health will take place 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Lake Superior College atrium, 2101 Trinity Rd. The event is to encourage dialogue about mental illness, challenge myths and misinformation, increase community knowledge and support, make communities inclusive and free from discrimination, promote prevention and early intervention and agree to steps that communities can take. Artist Peter Stauduhar will present an art project that shares his experience living with mental illness, followed by a conversation with attendees. Registration is encouraged but not required.
