BRIEF: Veterans Day celebration at Salvatore's Patriots & Heroes Park

Nov. 08--The post traumatic stress disorder clinic at the Batavia Veterans Affairs Medical Center will benefit from a Veterans Day celebration and a "Jump In On PTSD" reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Russell J. Salvatore'sPatriots & Heroes Park and Russell's Steaks Chops & More, 6675 Transit Road, Lancaster.

The celebration in the park will begin at 4 p.m. with a USO-style performance by Music on the Front Lines, led by Buffalo Music Hall of Fame members Van Taylor and Ron Walker. The program also will include a salute to the five branches of the armed services from Donna Kerr and the Buffalo Dolls.

All funds raised at the reception will assist veterans at the Jack H. Wisby Jr. PTSD Clinic and its Center for Hope, a new resident facility for female veterans. The celebration is sponsored by the local Association of the Airborne3rd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, of the Army National Guard. Donations to "VA WNY Healthcare System" also can be sent to CSM Alfred R. LaChance, 4732 Porter Center Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
