BRIEF: Win Alan Schwarz's groundbreaking book 'ADHD Nation'

Oct. 03--"ADHD Nation: Children, Doctors, Big Pharma and the Making of an American Epidemic" (Scribner, $28) is a groundbreaking and definitive account of the widespread mishandling of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

The author, New York Times reporter Alan Schwarz, says ADHD is a nationwide health epidemic spread by the very people tasked with its treatment. The book, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, is based on more than 1,000 interviews with doctors, parents, children, pharmaceutical representatives, teachers and researchers.
