Health Walk in the shoes of dementia patients

Easton Journal (MA) - 6/18/2016

There is no bigger social issue today than the growing diagnosis of dementia in aging America. On Monday, June 20 from 3 - 4 p.m., the Residence at Five Corners will host a special event for the general public in support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s “The Longest Day” event.

Members of the public are invited to come witness or directly participate in the “A Walk in Their Shoes” dementia simulation, donning special gear, and learning firsthand what it’s like to have dementia.

This powerful demon- stration will offer powerful insights, and give people a unique glimpse into this growing health issue.

The public is asked to RSVP by calling Nancy Fullerton at 508 535-2202.

The Residence at Five Corners is located at 678 Depot St. in Easton.
