BRIEF: National mental illness group to hold beach walk and fundraising event

Oct. 26--NAMI Lowcountry will hold its 10th annual beach walk and fundraising event in November.
The 5K Footprints in the Sand will take place Nov. 7, at Coligny Plaza, on Hilton Head Island, according to a news release. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. at the plaza and will be followed by the 5K beach walk at 10 a.m. and a block party at 11 a.m. featuring refreshments, games and entertainment by Hilton Head-based Cranford Hollow.
Individuals or teams, as well as walkers with dogs, are encouraged to participate.
Proceeds from the event will be used to fund NAMI's programs in the Lowcountry.
