BRIEF: VA mental health summit set in Kerrville

July 18--Area veterans and their families are invited to attend two free events to learn more about mental health resources available through South Texas Veterans Health Care System.

The first event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.July 31 at the Norris Conference Center at Park North Shopping Center, 618 N.W. Loop 410, Suite 207, San Antonio.

The second event is set for 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Aug. 14 at the Kathleen C. Cailloux City Center for the Performing Arts, 910 Main St., Kerrville.

Veterans and their family members are invited to attend breakout sessions to learn about mental health resources, veteran caregiver and peer support programs,and needs of families and caregivers of veterans.

Community mental health providers also are invited to learn more about partnership opportunities with South Texas Veterans Health Care System.
