BRIEF: Mercy opens combined mental health system

March 23--Mercy health system opened its new Behavioral Health Institute at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon on Sunday.
Patients will be treated in the $21 million facility starting Wednesday.
Mercy will close the psychiatric floors at St. Charles and Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and move those functions to the new institute.
The two-story building, connected to the main hospital, offers adult, geriatric, and dual diagnoses units, with 90 beds. Additionally, the facility offers a partial hospitalization program and comprehensive outpatient programs.
