BRIEF: Frontier House receives three-year accreditation for quality mental illness care

Greeley Tribune (CO) - 3/10/2015

March 09--The North Range Behavioral Health program Frontier House has received a three-year accreditation from Clubhouse International for promoting recovering from mental illness and reducing hospital stays.

Frontier House is one of 320 Clubhouse programs internationally.

"Frontier House is based on the belief that individuals with mental illness can and will actively engage in a recovery process given the opportunity to do so," the release states. "Frontier House focuses on recovery through employment, education, advocacy and socialization."

The program was evaluated for its cost effectiveness compared to traditional treatment, reduction of incarceration and involvement with the criminal justice system, and for providing its members with self-sufficiency, according to a news release from North Range Behavioral Health.

"I am very proud to be a part of an amazing Clubhouse community like Frontier House," said Renee Schell, program director of Frontier House. "I am thankful that our Clubhouse has the outstanding support of North Range Behavioral Health and I am very proud of our affiliation with Clubhouse International."
