BRIEF: Killer's request for release from mental health institute denied

Sept. 12--James E. Olson, convicted of killing his neighbor with a crowbar in 2012, would be a significant risk if he was released from a mental health facility.

That was the opinion of psychologist Kent Berney during Thursday morning's hearing before Eau Claire County Judge William Gabler.
