BRIEF: Grand Forks facilities get $500,000 for mental health

Sept. 04--Two Grand Forks region facilities will receive federal funding for mental health services, according to the office of Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.

UND and the Valley Community Health Centers in Northwood, N.D., are getting a total of $500,000 to support behavioral health services. The money will go toward the hiring of mental health workers or adding mental health or substance abuse services, according to Heitkamp's announcement.
