BRIEF: CLU names dean for new psychology graduate school

April 02--California Lutheran University has named a dean for its new Graduate School of Psychology.

Rick Holigrocki, dean of the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Indianapolis, will start the job Aug. 1.

At Indianapolis, Holigrocki started programs and research projects. His own research has focused on the interaction between parents and children. He also has studied Chinese parenting, domestic violence and depressed mothers.

Holigrocki, a native of Canada, received his bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from York University in Toronto. He received his master's and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Windsor in Ontario.

The Graduate School of Psychology offers master's degrees in counseling psychology and clinical psychology and a doctorate in psychology.
